Rugby is played at Suiderberg school in terms two and three. The players are fortunate to have two fields to practice on throughout the year. We enter five teams into our very competitive league. The boys that play Rugby are taught life lessons within this sport that they take out into the world once they leave our school.
This LSEN school is well-known in the Pretoria for its hard, running brand of rugby.

Rugby players will learn to:

• Respect themselves, other athletes, officials, and coaches
• Be proud of small achievements and work towards long term goals.

• Develop their abilities that will serve them well throughout their lives.

The rugby programme is integrated into students’ timetables.
We focus on performance coaching. We provide technical and tactical coaching through training, and playing.

2022

This year we entered the mainstream league for the second year running and the teams did exceptionally well, we entered 3 teams 0/15, 0/16 and the 1st team.

The season ended with five players being included in theLSEN Blue Bulls team, that participated in the Craven week in George.
